31st MOLESEY VETERAN HEAD

SUNDAY - FEBRUARY 10th 2008

RACE STARTS AT 2.00 P.M. BE ON STATION AT 1.50 P.M. LATEST!

Thank you for your entry. Enclosed (posted today) is the provisional starting order and a race and safety card. Please check your entry and make sure that it is correct - let me know if not.

Crews must check in and pay any outstanding fees BETWEEN 11.00 A.M. and 12.00 noon from race control in the clubroom of Molesey Boat Club before the race. There will be a mandatory safety briefing for coxes at 12.00 noon in the clubroom, after which race numbers will be issued. Latest boating time is 1.15.

Note that there is one veteran division, starting with eights and finishing with fours and quads. Please follow instructions given in the race card and by the launch marshals, and look out for your locating number on the bank (1,10,20,30,40).

Handicaps will be applied to determine class winners as appropriate, but the actual race time will be used to determine finish order.

You will be boating from Molesey Boat Club. With regard to river conditions, a decision will be made on the Saturday before the race with the Environment Agency. This will be announced on www.moleseyregatta.org (also on moleseyboatclub.org) by 2 p.m. I will attempt to phone you on Saturday evening at the latest, in the event of cancellation. I suggest that you also phone me on Saturday evening in case I have not been able to get in touch. The website has a river conditions update.

Access and parking is as usual down Graburn Way off Hurst Road (turn left before Hampton Court Bridge, facing north, go half a mile, turn right). Please note that all trailers will parked in Graburn Way or Riverside Drive, allowing more space on the grassed area for boat assembly. Parking for cars is available in Hurst Park Meadows, behind the Cricket Club and in the local side roads but PLEASE follow directions given by our parking controllers and be polite to them.

After the race Molesey Boat Club will be open for showers, bar service, teas, sandwiches and cakes, all at reasonable prices! I look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
