Elite Rowing

Molesey has a large group of athletes who compete at an international level, as well as many who have previously competed at an international level, but still get together to row at a very high standard.  This section describes their groups.

Acer started coxing at Oxford as an undergrad, and coxed the winning boat race crew in 2005.  He then joined Hodge at Molesey, coxing the heads and representing the club within the GB squad.  His last outing with Molesey was coxing the ‘Molesey Giants’ for the Head of the River. The crew, despite their short time in the sport, achieved a great result at Henley Royal Regatta.

After joining the club in 2000, I gained my first GB vest 2001.  This passionate club has been behind me all the way through my career. I represented GB in the Athens Olympics and now represent the club in the top GB boat, the coxless four.  Beijing is my next target, and with all fingers crossed, I’ll be able to step on from the last Olympics.  And now as voted captain, I look forward to taking the club further in to the future when I get back from China.
